O, OA and OX visas

As you have probably heard, on 1st November 2019 there are meant to be changes to the law for expats who are holding O, OA and OX visas. However, much confusion remains as to whether these new regulations will apply to all current holders of the aforementioned visas or if they will only be applied to expats applying for a new O type visa at a consulate outside of Thailand.

At Macallan, we have tried to get as much reliable information from the Immigration Department as we can but we are getting different interpretations from our various sources. Please be assured, as soon as we know for certain what these new regulations will entail then we will be in touch with you as soon as possible via our social media channels.

For those of you who currently hold an O type visa it may be useful to you if you could contact us with the expiry date of your visa. If you are not sure then please just scan the mugshot page of your passport along with the latest visa page and we will try to help you as best we can.
